When we lived in Corpus Christi and our daughter and grandson lived with us, this we a common question around the dinner table. We miss those family times and wish we could live them again. Of course that is not possible so we ask you our readers, “What Did You Do Today?”
To get thing started, I will tell about our day. Today would start with a short work morning because we had a 10:00AM phone interview with our potential spring workamp folks. More on that later. Meanwhile, I took a look at the farm’s weed eater. They can get it started but it does not continue running. I took the case apart so I could look at the fuel line and filter in the gas tank. Sure enough, the fuel line came out in pieces. Then I noticed a broken gasket in the crankcase. Now I get to hunt for parts.
After lunch, Morris and I took off for the North 40. That is a section of the farm where he had been stacking cedar trees that were previously cut.
Our task was to cut these logs into cedar post for a fence that needs replacing. About 2 1/2 hours later we had about 75 new posts. We need about 225 posts for the fence so we have more cutting to do. It was a good thing these trees where cut down a couple of years ago. That meant the trees where seasoned which made today’s work much easier. Especially stacking the new posts.
When we called it a day, the only chore left was to feed our lame bull. This bull has a bum shoulder and will not put his full weight on his left leg. So he gets a special food supplement that hopefully will help him heal.
That was my day.
Meanwhile, Carol just about has her craft/sewing area organized. She has done an amazing job of getting our home organized on the inside.
Now it is your turn – what did you do today?
Thanks for stopping by. Y’all come back now.
