When we were preparing to sell our house, our real estate agent said we should paint the front door red. Why? Because it is inviting and makes the house pop. I think any color that is brilliant can make a photo pop.
I was sitting on the beach near Bogue, North Carolina a few years ago watching the waves roll in. Something in (or on) the water caught my eye!
I switched to my telephoto lens and captured this golden glow on the waves.
Spring is a time for pollen to float in the air. This particular day, the pollen settled on the water. I am glad I was sitting on the beach and not swimming in the water.
Thanks for stopping by, y’all come back now.
Hubby’s on allergy meds right now with the desert in bloom.
I know how he feels. I hope I don’t encounter that as we head to Virginia at the end of the month.
Whoa!!
Pollen on the water? I’d never seen something like that. Thank you for sharing Jerry.
We have a pollen season here in Victoria – you’ll hear the pollen count broadcast on the radio each day. Luckily I don’t have allergy problems.
Having said that I dont think I’ve ever heard of swells of pollen in the ocean. Right place right time eh Jerry

Tanks Cathy. Our local media also has pollen count in the weather forecast. Depending on where I am in the Spring, I have experienced severe allergic reactions to pollen. Sometimes the pollen is so thick, the morning dew is laden with pollen causing our vehicles to be tinted with pollen dust.

I can always do without that pop of particular yellow color. Love the waves though. 🙂
Thanks for the feedback. It is interesting how relaxing watching waves can be. It was interesting to see people actually swimming in that stuff. UGH!
